If you are inspired to get involved in this years Big Green Weekend in any way then get in touch with us at info@biggreenweekend.org.uk or by coming along to one of our planning meetings held every two weeks at the Hole In t'Wall pub - our next meeting will be on Wednesday May 5th from 6:30 till 8pm.

We are always happy to hear from people who wish to volunteer themselves or a venue or even to give us a new idea, this is YOUR festival!

Check out the pedal powered stage in Holme Street next to the Trades Club. Musicians appearing on Saturday include Folk On Fire, Tea For One, Phil Graham, Mand Harris, Tony Levy, Chris Martin, Nicolas and the Iceni, Gloria Jeffries, Tom Ogorman, Joanna Lyon, Daniel Lucas, Jasmine Kennedy, Dawn and David, Dog Man Dave, The Troubadors, Jeffrey Bruce Butterfield.

BREAKING NEWS:
The rain has decided to head in other directions and BGW will have decent weather, okay so you may not be able to fry an egg on your navel but it will not rain (we hope!)

Do you love art? Would your home like a new piece of art work? Worried that it might be too costly?
Come along to the Affordable Art Fair upstairs at Earth Spirit on Market Street and check out the amazing work on display. Nothing will cost more than £75 and every piece is unique.

Casting Call for Models:

We need models for the Fashion Show to be held on Monday May 31st at 2pm at Hope Baptist.

We are NOT looking for Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell or any of the size zero types.

We ARE looking for YOU! Young or old, short or tall, sizes 8 - 16, all you need to do is get in touch with us, or come along to our informal meeting/clothes fitting this coming Wednesday May 26th from 4:30pm at Earth Spirit (upstairs room).

So if you have harboured long ambitions to do the catwalk dance then here is your chance......

Our next planning meeting will be held on Wednesday May 19th as usual at the Hole In t'Wall from 6:30 until 8pm.

We are looking for volunteers to help out at this years Big Green Weekend, so if you think you can spare even just a few hours then do come long to offer your support.

We are also looking for models for the fashion show and people to help out backstage, get involved!

Flamenco performance now confirmed!

Sunday May 30th at 11am in St. Georges Square. Bring your cameras and your tapping toes, this is going to be a fantastic demonstration of Flamenco dancing!

Our next planning meeting is going to be this Wednesday May 5th from 6:30 till 8pm at the Hole In t'Wall as usual. Everyone is invited, bring your thoughts, opinions, ideas and suggestions or just come to listen to what is going on!
